Data Science Projects 2023
The world faces a crucial crossroads: how can we address current challenges while shaping a brighter future? This year's 10 Most Influential Data Science Projects collectively seek to answer this question, with teams presenting innovative solutions to global challenges. Moreover, they have enhanced the way we live, work, and play, making it simpler, better, and more enjoyable.
How the Projects Were Chosen
BDI meticulously curated the Most Influential Data Science Projects of 2023 by soliciting recommendations and feedback from a global network of hundreds of experts, members, and stakeholders. Each finalist underwent rigorous evaluation, with a mandatory requirement of demonstrating at least one substantial accomplishment within the preceding 18 months. The final selections embody the diverse range of initiatives, regions, and industries driving the project landscape worldwide.

Few topics are as divisive as that of police use of force and its relationship to race in the United States. Complicating the debate is a scarcity of data—or at least, that was the case until the Center for Policing Equity launched its Justice Navigator interactive app.
Delta Sharing
AI innovation can’t happen without data, but anyone tasked with managing a data deluge knows how tough governance can be. And as companies increasingly ramp up use of third-party and vendor data, that task becomes even more complex.
Speaking in Color

It would be a long circuitous journey to arrive at that perfect hue. To make the process more intuitive, U.S. paint and coatings maker Sherwin-Williams teamed up with creative agency Wunderman Thompson to create a voice-activated AI app called Speaking in Color.
